Experience a three-day, two-night backpacking trip on the Appalachian trail. You will experience approximately 5 miles each day of the seclusion of the backcountry of the Cherokee and Pisgah National Forest. We will begin our journey on the Appalachian Trail on Walnut Mountain trail head at 4187 ft. Our first night we will stay on a ridge at 4,000 ft. This campsite is under a full canopy of tree that will give you the experience of camping in the backcountry. Day two we hike to Max Patch. You will spend the night under the stars at 4,616 ft with a 360-degree view of the Appalachian Mountains. You will wake to a breath-taking view that you can see God’s fingerprint in His creation. We will end our trip at Browns Gap Road at 4300 ft. During this trip you will experience 3 days of beautiful scenery, no cell phones and good fellowship with like-minded Pastors.
Cost $75. This includes one night in the conference center, breakfast Monday morning and transportation to and from trail.
